Quernmore C.E (VC) Primary School

SEND Information

Dear parents,

Welcome to our SND information page! We understand that every child is unique and may have different educational needs. Therefore, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Our SEND Team

At Quernmore Primary School, we have a dedicated team of professionals who work together to ensure that your child's individual needs are met. Our experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) Mrs Baines, oversees all aspects of SEND provision within the school. She works closely with Miss Richardson, teachers, teaching assistants, and external agencies to develop personalised strategies and support plans for each child with SEND.

Support Services

We believe in collaborative partnerships between parents, carers, and the school to ensure the best outcomes for children with SEND. Our support services include regular communication, progress reviews, and parent consultations. We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where parents feel comfortable discussing their child's needs and contributing to their educational journey.

Additionally, we work closely with external professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to provide specialized support to children with specific needs. These professionals play a vital role in assessing and addressing any additional requirements your child may have.
