Pupil Premium

All schools have received a 'pupil premium' from central government in order to address the attainment gap that exists nationally between those pupils eligible for free school meals and those pupils who are not eligible (as well as for Looked After Children and Service Children). Each school receives an amount per eligible pupil (£1320 per FSM child and £1900 per CLA/Adopted from Care) and each school can plan how the money is used in order to 'close the gap'.

At Quernmore Primary School we have lower than the national average of children eligible for FSM, therefore the allocated amount of funding for use in helping these children is lower.

PUPIL PREMIUM SPENDING AT QUERNMORE PRIMARY SCHOOL 2013/14

Our PPG allocation for 2013/14 was £2859.

During the current academic year, two thirds of our PPG has been spent on TA provision to support intervention programmes. Our current tracking shows our Ever6/FSM children are on track to make better than expected progress.

With the remainder of our funding, we have also ensured that our FSM children are not disadvantaged by limited funds when engaging in our wide variety of enrichment activities.
